Session 7 at Camp Wa Wa Segowea is done!

We've closed the books on Session 7 with just one remaining week to go here at Camp Wa Wa Segowea. Pretty soon kids will be home and getting ready to go back to school and dreaming of next summer at camp. Until then, campers are enjoying the morning mist on the lake and the occasional glimpse of mother nature's furry creatures (skunk and a bear this week!). They're making use of their free time journaling on the side porch, a quick game of HORSE on the basketball court as well as taking in all the stars and the full moon from the view of the soccer field. It's been a great summer!

Here's Session 7's pictures-

It's just a couple days till the Camp Segowea Alumni Reunion! It's sure to be a great day on Saturday August 20th to reminisce with former staff members, campers and family and Friends of Segowea! It starts at 11 am and will be a fun filled day. The Friends of Segowea will be holding a meeting in the afternoon and the Smith Park Board will be meeting in the morning too. We'll also have a BBQ dinner that night as well as a campfire. Please consider joining us for the day! Please let Alum Sarah Perks if you plan on attending- sarahbeckp@gmail.com.

  1. The lantern hangs from the oak tree over the Parade Field. The question I would like answered is, who put it there?
